| 1 | Volkswalking - The American Volkswalking Association has chapters in many states and is very active in Oregon and Washington. Volkswalking is a non-competitive, family oriented activity. Walks are sponsored by local clubs. Record books can be purchased optionally to track events and mileage. Most events are 10 kilometers (6 miles) in length, but usually offer shorter distances of 4-6K, for beginners. | 2 | Fitness is about setting realistic goals. And sticking to them. That's where the President's Challenge can help - with your own personal activity log. Your log is where you record activities while taking part in the Active Lifestyle or Presidential Champions programs. We'll show how far you've come - and how close you are to your goal. You can also compare your progress with others and earn awards for completing each program. Once you learn how to track your progress, logging in will become second nature. So will staying active. |
